Rocky Mountain Human Services is a non-profit organization that provides zero, zip, zich to those in need. When we asked them directly how many people are employed by RMHS and exactly what it is that they do, the answers are about 800 and crickets, respectively.
We were originally contacted by RMHS when we became disabled by the State of Colorado on April 22nd, 2025. We were assigned a case manager and she contacted us by email and then phone. During this time, we were homeless and reaching for any resources available to us. Certainly, being found legally permanently disabled by the State, which in no way is positive, would at least come with access to resources that we didn't previously have. During this phone call, which came with a deep psychological evaluation and we took it very seriously and shared information on a recorded phone call that was extremely personal and not the kind of thing we take lightly because surely, this was the start of a helping hand reaching in and guiding us towards the resources we desperately needed. What we received instead was a hard wall of smoke and mirrors.
This agency provided absolutely nothing. There was a flurry of emails and busy-work and as far as helpful information and guidance, RMHS is a miserable operation, replete with useless agents that provide zero guidance or help of any kind. In fact, when we decided to look into one of the very few resources available to us: Home Care, we were on our own and even when we selected a firm to provide said services, we had to escalate to the matter to the CEO of the agency to get a simple approval.
Last week, we received a call from a supervisor case manager, asking to schedule an annual in-home check-in. We described our position on bureaucracies to the supervisor who was going to be the one to visit, including our escalation with the Social Security Administration and her response was: "Well, that's what we are," taking offense to our unflinching drive to somehow communicate with bureaucracies.
She scheduled this annual check-in for today, February 11th at 12:00 noon. We even confirmed the address and I went so far as to issue fair-warning on the parking difficulty downtown. This visit was confirmed in stone and we hung up.
Rocky Mountain Human Services simply did not show up for their own appointment. RMHS no-showed because they did not want to take accountability for the complete lack of providing any services whatsoever, let alone justification for employing some 800 people. RMHS is nothing but another agency, bilking the public out of millions of dollars and delivering nothing.
We will personally go to the main office of RMHS and demand answers and we will expose them for the scam that they are.
So, the lady that missed the appointment for the "Big annual visit" had to call again, after she had left a message last week saying that it was her fault for missing the appointment and that it had disappeared from her calendar. This seemed strange that she called me almost a week later and somehow just remembered out of the blue? Whatever; things happen and not everything can be a conspiracy afterall but my goodness.
We have a new appointment set for the 10th of March so we will see what this is all about.
